Hisham is a Director at the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), where he monitors and oversees PIF’s holdings in various public and private companies. Prior to his current role, Hisham was a Senior Vice President at PIF. Hisham served for eight years as a Principal at Amwal Al Khaleej, a private equity firm focused on medium- to large-scale investments across the Middle East. In addition to seeking out and monitoring investment opportunities throughout the region, Hisham was seconded to BodyMasters — a portfolio company for Gulf Funds — for two years, during which time he assumed the role of CEO and Vice President, transforming the company’s business by developing a series of more than 40 health clubs across Saudi Arabia. He has also served as a Senior Broker at National Commercial Bank, where he was responsible for monitoring and overseeing the investments of the bank’s governor. Hisham sits on the boards of directors for mobile telecommunications company Zain KSA, the Industrialization and Energy Services company (TAQA), and Saudi Industrial Investment company (Dussur), as well as a member of the Executive Committe in the Saudi Arabian Military Industries company (SAMI). He graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics.
Mohammad is a Vice President at the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), where he is a member of PIF’s Investment Department. From 2012 to 2016, Mohammad served as Private Equity Associate at Sanabel Investment, and from 2009 to 2012, he worked as a Credit Analyst for the Saudi Industrial Development Fund. He began his career at Deutsche Bank’s DWS Investments in Frankfurt, where he gained early insights into the global investment sector. He serves on the boards and committees of numerous public and private companies, including the Saudi Electricity Company, Eastern Prvince Cement, Saudi SME Fund of Funds, and Saudi Investment Recycling Company. Mohammad holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Prince Sultan University and is a CFA charterholder.
Yazeed is the Head of portfolio companies’ governance department at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) since early 2016. His work focuses on enhancing the corporate governance practices in PIF’s portfolio companies and supervises their adherence to the corporate governance policies and procedures. Yazeed’s previous experience is wide and diversified; he was involved heavily in establishing the Corporate Governance department at the Capital Market Authority since 2009 where he worked on variety of projects related the corporate governance. Due to his extensive experience in corporate governance in the public sectors, Yazeed joined the Supervision Division of Capital Marker Institution (CMI) where he played an active role in developing corporate governance requirements for Authorized Persons, including conflict of interest policies, and fit and proper requirements of the Board of Directors and senior executives. Before joining PIF, Yazeed moved to AlBilad Bank where he served as a Corporate Governance Manger. Yazeed holds a Bachelor’s degree business administration from King Saud University and a Master’s Degree in the Financial Management from University of Hull.
As the CEO of the Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund, Omar leads the company’s management team in formulating and implementing its investment strategy. Prior to assuming his current role, Omar was the CEO of AB Invest, the investment banking arm of Arab Bank. He also served as the CEO of Capital Investments, the investment banking arm of Capital Bank, and was the co-founder of Singularity Advisors, a corporate advisory service. Along with his distinguished career in the finance sector, Omar boasts a wealth of experience in the public sector, serving as Assistant for Policy at the Office of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, as well as a policy advisor to the Jordanian Minister of Finance and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation. Omar began his career in the United States, where he worked in the restructuring and bankruptcy consulting field with Chicago-based Navigant Consulting. Omar holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude with a major in economics, with distinction, and minors in history and psychology.
Walid has 30 years of banking experience at Arab Bank. Walid has been a Senior Vice President at Arab Bank heading the area of Jordan and covering other areas such as the Gulf and Egypt. Prior to that he served as a Senior Vice President covering North Africa and Lebanon. Also, he served as the Head of Global Credit Admin Credit Group at Arab Bank, and head of the Corporate & Institutional Banking – Research & Support – Global Banking Group (GBG) Department at Arab Bank. Walid sits on the board of directors of Arab Sudanese Bank (as chairman), Arab Tunisian Bank, Oman Arab Bank, and Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation. He graduated from the University of Jordan with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics & Public Administration, and he obtained his master’s degree in Economics from University of Jordan as well.
