As the CEO of the Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund, Omar leads the company’s management team in formulating and implementing its investment strategy. Prior to assuming his current role, Omar was the CEO of AB Invest, the investment banking arm of Arab Bank. He also served as the CEO of Capital Investments, the investment banking arm of Capital Bank, and was the co-founder of Singularity Advisors, a corporate advisory service. Along with his distinguished career in the finance sector, Omar boasts a wealth of experience in the public sector, serving as Assistant for Policy at the Office of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, as well as a policy advisor to the Jordanian Minister of Finance and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation. Omar began his career in the United States, where he worked in the restructuring and bankruptcy consulting field with Chicago-based Navigant Consulting. Omar holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude with a major in economics, with distinction, and minors in history and psychology.
Walid has 30 years of banking experience at Arab Bank. Walid has been a Senior Vice President at Arab Bank heading the area of Jordan and covering other areas such as the Gulf and Egypt. Prior to that he served as a Senior Vice President covering North Africa and Lebanon. Also, he served as the Head of Global Credit Admin Credit Group at Arab Bank, and head of the Corporate & Institutional Banking – Research & Support – Global Banking Group (GBG) Department at Arab Bank. Walid sits on the board of directors of Arab Sudanese Bank (as chairman), Arab Tunisian Bank, Oman Arab Bank, and Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation. He graduated from the University of Jordan with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics & Public Administration, and he obtained his master’s degree in Economics from University of Jordan as well.
